In fact, that's where my then fiancé and I got our marriage license years ago. In high school I remember visiting the library. Even as a teen I was struck by the inefficient use of space, what with the curves. I think they have problems with roof leaks as well. When I took a class in American Architecture in college, I was astounded to find out this building was so atypical of FLW's style. Years later we visited Oak Park and saw I grew up in Marin and so was very familiar with the Civic Center. In fact, that’s where my then fiancé and I got our marriage license years ago.
