    • Finally saw both parts—all 7.5 hours—of Angels in America yesterday. Still baffled by so many things in the play—the absentee God, the avenging angel, the vague “great work,” the way audiences laugh every time the word Mormon is uttered. But I woke up thinking about all the messy, flawed humans—including the Mormons—depicted so beautifully by this cast and felt lucky to have spent so many hours watching them on stage (and a few consulting with them behind the scenes.) I expect the reluctant prophet’s final blessing for “more life” will linger for some time. #berkeleyrep
